Okay thank you. I was able to do a little google last night and Jason was found illegal at Boyd's and another event with tires, though it could be the same as referenced above. It can't be confirmed but maybe a time or two when he refused to tear down after a protest.Originally posted by oberg8 View Post
I guess a better question would be has Jason ever been protested and found legal?

From a spectator standpoint I have asked the same question. His car doesn't look the same somehow. Maybe it is just the way the body is mounted but the rear of the car looks higher. I guess they measure that I don't really know. He does win a lot over the so called touring Crates. Maybe he is that good. The tracks have to be checking when someone has a reputation of pushing the limits on rules. I would. Of course I think that the tracks should tear a car down to the bare block when they have a special race and avoid any of these types of conversations. JMO

Fuel. Illegal it's mixed and will not pass specific gravity test!Originally posted by MidTnDirtFan View PostFrom a spectator standpoint I have asked the same question. Tires. Send them off to be checked.
Valve springs. They will not pass if checked off of the head!
Dirty driver. Rubs over people every week.

Well I guess there isn't much we can do as casual observers. If the folks racing against him don't want to protest it is what it is. They can run for second while Jason wins 80 to 90% of the races he enters.
I just can't wrap my head around why someone that has been illegal every time they've been checked can get on a win streak like this and no one wants to take a look. Maybe there are no legal crates left.

It basically costs a grand to tear down a crate. Unless you've got a lot of faith in the tech man that's a tough call to make. There's a couple in this region who are obviously doing stuff others are not.
When NeSmith went to Boyd's a couple of years ago they had 4 regulars show up. That's counting Riley (he won) as a regular. That's at a track that was pulling 18-22 cars weekly. I know you have to run their tires, but it's not like you can't run them again.Last edited by B_K; 02-19-2015, 06:53 AM.
