Spring Nationals Stop at Swainsboro Washed Out; Golden Isles Still on for Saturday

SWAINSBORO, GA (April 17, 2015)—The Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals Series presented by Schaeffer’s Oil endured its sixth straight rain out on Friday Night April 17th at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway.
The event will be made up on Sunday Evening July 5th which will be the third race of a big Fourth of July Weekend and includes two Southern Nationals Bonus Series events. The race at Swainsboro on July 5th will feature a new and complete $6,000-to-win show which will be a non-points event since cars had not taken to the track for action yet. In nights prior to Swainsboro the Southern Nationals Bonus Series will visit Tri-County (NC) Race Track on Friday July 3rd paying $3,000-to-win and Saturday Night July 4th at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway for the Billy Clanton Memorial paying $4,025-to-win.
This is the sixth straight rain-out for the Spring Nationals Series tour. The series has seven points paying events left on the schedule. The series will now move to Golden Isles (Ga.) Speedway paying $10,000-to-win tomorrow night Saturday April 18th. This will mark the first series appearance to Golden Isles Speedway. The series will also visit the Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. next Saturday April 25th for the Tennessee Tipoff Classic paying $6,000-to-win.
