Richmond Raceway Announces 2013 Tentative Schedule of Events
RICHMOND, KY (November 4, 2012)-After completing another successful season at Richmond Raceway, track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett are already gearing up for an even better 2013 season.
The 2013 schedule of events will consist of 15 races that will begin in late March and run through early October. With an added number of marquee events for the 2013 season, this is sure to be the most exciting year yet at Richmond Raceway.
The 2013 season will officially kick off on March 23 with the Open Wheel Modified March Madness, paying $1,000 to win in the Open Wheel Modified division. The Late Model division will be off for the March Madness event but are welcome for practice.
Richmond Raceway will then be idle for a month before returning to action on April 20 with the Inaugural Defrost 35. This event will pay $3,500 in the Late Model division, one of four marquee events for Late Models on the 2013 schedule.
The 26th Annual Sunoco Race Fuel Paul Butterballâ„¢ Wooldridge Memorial is set for July 13, 2013 paying $7,500 to win for Late Models. In addition, the Open Wheel Modifieds will comepete for $1,000 to win along with the Sportsman division paying $600 to win that night.
