Weasel Rhoades capture first C.M.C. win over a packed field.

Saturday Night at Florence Speedway saw 55 cars start a heat race. After a 1st lap crash that took out the front row of Greg Amick and Paul Degory, Pete Holt would grab the lead. Weasel Rhoades would start right behind him and quickly challenge for the lead. The lead would change hands a couple of times before Weasel Rhoades would jump out front for good. Late in the race Dennis Roberson would get by Holt for second and that would be the way they finished. Paul Miles would finish fourth followed by Daryl Herbert. Herbert's finish would catapult him into 9th place in the Cincinnati Modified Championship point standings. This would be the only change in the top ten this week. Kyle Schornick would use a 14th place finish in the feature to improve his season point total by 6. This would put him in a tie for the rookie of the year with Derrick Davis. If neither driver can improve there total in the last race of the year the C.M.C. will have co-rookies
of the year.
