Pit passes are $35 Friday & $40 on Saturday.

First, Friday and Saturday's weather won't be as cold as tonight's is. Highs lo-mid 70s, lows mid-40s and NO rain or wind. At least not like tonight's wind. Those folks are cold!

It would take more than 112 cars to not get at least that $400 entry fee back. Right now, there are 80 cars entered.

remember, treat this like a 2-day show because it is for folks who enter on Friday...

It's only been better than this once all year and Humboldt is a lot closer than Deer Creek for a whole lot of Modifieds!

The entry list is below and remember, all 80 of these cars will not be racing Friday. Some will be sitting on their points totals if they think it will put them in the A or B and some will have already used their mulligan on Thursday and won't be eligible to race on Friday. When qualifying is over on Friday, it's the top 18 one-night points totals that make the A. The next 18 make the B. A Friday point total has the same shot that a Wednesday or Thursday point total has. On average, you'd say that there are 6 A main spots available on Friday with one on the front row and it could be the pole! And 6 spots in the B main on average. Not guaranteed at those numbers though. Could be a couple less, could be a couple MORE. It just depends on how the points fall. Going into tonight's action, there will still be 24 $1500 to start A-main spots open and 18 still open (to new entries too!) going into Friday. Of course 12 of those will come out of Saturday's $700 to start B main. 13th place gets $1000 in it!

If someone beats Phillips's point total of 610.5, they will start ahead of him in Saturday's A. It's possible. He didn't win the feature so he left at least a couple points on the table.

And Schultz, Stetzer & Badder are 3 other Missouri racers besides Phillips & Payne to have run well last night!!!


And talk about a great feature and a great race track, check out this video from last night. There's a four-wide pass for the lead in lapped traffic at the 19 to 20 minute mark.

With temps in the 40's at race time Ryan Gustin heated up the Hummer with some great racing as he worked his way up to 2nd place, and then the action got real warm as he stocked Terry Phillips as the two entered a pack of four back runners.

We then had a race within a race, Phillips running on the bottom Gustin on the top some times throwing sparks off the wall as he tried to hang on to the mean machine under his control. At one point during the end of the race sequence the leading duo and two lap cars were four wide coming out of turn #2.

The winning of the race came down to Gustin finding a hole thru the back runners and Phillips getting hung up on the bottom side and not being able to keep pace with Gustin.

This is just the 1st night of a four day adventure leading up to Saturdays crowning of the "King of America" modified championship. Plenty of seats are still available, a new group of racers come in tonight to try their hands at making the big show, you can check the Humboldt web site to see who they are.

Even with the cool weather you are just a couple of layers of clothing and a blanket away from being at one of the best racing shows you will see in the Midwesy or anywhere. Walmart sells all of the above items which you may need this winter anyway so come on down. Enjoy.
