With a lot of energy in the air, rain and wind and what ever, memorial day weekend got off to a fast start at Salina Speedway.
94 cars showed up to try their hand at taming the 3/8's mile track. At times it felt like the track won as several yellows flew during the night. Hats off to the stock car drivers as their race was the only one that went the distance with no yellow flags, green to checkered.
I forgot to give kudos to Austin Carter for the in car video, he also won the a=feature for the stock cars.
This race kicked off the Cheese Works swing thru the bread basket of racing, last night Salina, tonight RPM in Hays, and Sunday Wakeeney. Keep up with us right here on the grass roots racing web site, inthepits.net. Enjoy.
