Well, all the speculation is over and I think if you were present or watch this video you would be asking the question, their was a change in what? The race program came off without a hitch, the tech staff did their job, the concessions sevred up hamburgers, hot dogs, nachoes, and funnel cakes. It just seemed like a regular Friday at the races at Lakeside Speedway.
This was even a good opening night crowd considering the weather, 36 degrees by the end of the races.
The word on the track and in the pits as well as the stands was, wow what a track for this early in the year and just a few days after quite a bit of rain.
if you were going to grade this night for the effort and results I would go with an "A", after that the question is can theydo it for the next 27 weeks? I am sure Donna and Don Marrs will help their staff and crew work toward those results.
Last but certainly not lease the racing action was on a midseason form with the a-mod race decided coming out of turn four, the stock car race decided on the white flag lap, a new winner in the b-mods, and of coarse Tim Sheilds winning the Grand national class.
