Grandstands open at 5:00, Hot laps 6:15. Racing at 7:00

Adult admission $15, Ages 11-18 $7, Kids 10 and under Free.

It's a really tough decision, but we have decided as of 3:15 to cancel tonight's races at Jacksonville Speedway. The weatherman is almost guaranteeing a line of thunderstorms passing through during race time tonight. We can see scenarios where it might not rain at all... but we can see a much more likely scenario where we won't be able to complete tonight's program. At this point with rain almost certain, to continue to push forward is really just taking the money of our fans and teams to hold for another day. That's not the way we want to play this game.

We have teams on the road from Burlington, St. Louis and other areas. To have them to continue to drive here for an almost certain rainout isn't fair.

We might be wrong... it might not rain. But everything considered, and with the threat of some severe weather... the right thing to do is cancel tonight's races. That's what we've done.
