The transfer tests as well as the lab benchmark comparisons were done by a major player in the tire prep market. I was there I seen and contributed to the process it's honestly a waste if you ask me but if you can get close it can help you win. The details are not public nor do I ever expect them to be. Most racers are using the stuff or paying someone to do it for them. Yes there are quite a few and I expect you will see marketing soon. If you want my opinion, I think some of the dqs were because of special compound or remarked tires from Hoosier. Anyone remember Scott autrys mishap? These companies do this stuff it's not conspiracy it happens. I don't believe the tire rule is to limit doping I whole heartedly feel it's a ploy to sell a bunch of tires under the guise of limiting tire cheating. I know for a fact it's been discussed at major series meetings that these people want to better the image of the sport by keeping the pits looking tip top. Meaning no beat up cars or crews that don't look like a bunch of people just there for the party so to speak. They want the ones there having fun gone so they can look more like nascar. So expect more rules and I'd say very soon they will just come right out in the drivers meeting and ask people to please go away for certain events.or just have races by invite only. I don't have suggestions on what we can do to fix things other than just let it die and start over. The sad truth is money is truely the root of evil and reality is this sport is expensive. Culture in the country has changed and you just don't have the amount of passionate racers we had in years past. people are driven by celebrity or by children involved and that is making it a novelty. The laws of entertainment are at play now the buzz will build or fade either way I think for a lot of us we have enjoyed a truely great period in our sport. Make the best of what's left is all I can think of.

To answer the question did bloomer dope his tires?

I would say possibly, I mean he has been caught a number of times. He was at many tests with a tire dope master. Unless that plane wreck at foggy mountain was really coincidence, lol !

But I would say the likelihood of those guys getting a tire from Hoosier that was "special" is more of the correct answer.

I heard the theory about the tire mystery ..... I heard some drivers have tires that are made different than what the code is on the tire .... Now ... I have no clue if this is true but it does kinda make sense .... So the claim that bloomer has a defaced tire might be inline with this new theory ... So it might not be something put on the tire ....It could be just a beter tire .... Im sure someone will figure it out sooner or later .... Anyway just thought id post another theory ...

You may want to go back and re read what I said.........no doubt the collection process is suspect, but also the custodial process of who has the tires and what trail they follow,what does or does not make the tire hot( i.e. Simp,e green wd 40) etc...... There were many different things discussed , not just what you would have liked to have heard. I said changes were coming on tires multiple times, you said ( very loudly) that I was a fool , they all cheat, tire rule is perfectly fine.......guess what, looks like changes are being implemented. Did you guys know a modified driver named Stephane LaFrance (who some late model folks might know, because his company makes the TRICK carbon fiber driveshafts) got popped juicing a few days ago and admitted he juiced? He even admitted he added a substance that Hoosier already uses in the tires as his solvent. That goes against the whole theory that the way to make undetectable tire dope is to use stuff already in the tire.

You said his solvent. You didn't say only ingredients were ingredients already in tire. Not being a chemist, I would be pretty certain you can doctor tires with the original ingredients because there is going to be some allowance in the testing for natural variation. And usually in racing, those are too big.

I'll have to admit I was wrong, incredibly surprised at how well the tires held up throughout the weekend, it was not necessary to have a new set every time on the track and don't think it hurt the racing one bit.

There were a lot people that were wrong talon......many of them just don't have the guts to admit it like you just did.

I figured the guys running the lower lines especially, would have right front wear, more than they did. It was still a advantage to run the high line with a balanced car. The top 8 cars did it on the same set. There is still a lot of unknowns with these tires and different tracks and or preps. As of now they are a big hit.
