Rain Forces Cancellation of 24th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100
Locust Grove, Arkansas (08/16/16) – Heavy rain over the past week with more forecasted for the remainder of this week has forced Batesville Motor Speedway to cancel this weekend’s 24th annual COMP Cams Topless 100 presented by Crop Production Services.
“It’s been unbelievably wet for really the past few weeks, and the facility just can’t take anymore,†said CCSDS CEO, Chris Ellis. “We hate to pull the plug on the event, but there’s just no way that the staff could have the pits and grounds ready if it stopped raining even now. It’s unfortunate but just not much we can do.â€
The $40,000-to-win event, which was scheduled to be sanctioned by the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will not be rescheduled.
