I am true blue Hemi man through and through for 50+ years. The day you see me spending one penny on a fairy tie or a cotton pony you best be kissing your azz goodbye because the Earth is about to implode! LOL!!
I'd drive a Yugo before I ever wasted my money on those POS. He11 GM had to make their Vette look like a Viper and now Ford has their cotton pony looking like the Charger.

Friend of mine had a Hemi Cuda think it was a 1970 purple,,, He loved that car .. back then the Hemi on the street was not that fast .. Boy did it sound good...At the track the Hemi were tearing it up...was a Chevy man had a lot of friends that like the Dodges ..and a few Mustang friends...68 69 70 the years of Cool cars......all makes all models....

I'm not a ford man. But that new Shelby will walk circles around the z28. Strip and road course both. It has less hp and torque than the z28.

I can't post the link off of my phone. But theres a 25 min video on youtube of the same dude driving both cars on the same track. Chevy gonna have to step their game up there.

Plus 4 doors is for Girls ..Not a sports car .. Get it on the road coarse and I cant see it in the Mirror...

A Mercedes E63 AMG would sh*t all over a Camaro on a road course. It has four doors. I'm pretty sure a Cadillac CTS V sedan would too.

Not a change the Z28 will have the same set up as the ZL1 exp the motor will be one step down...Car for Car price for price the ZL1 eats Shelbys Shorts....Next year the Z28 will too....Car and Driver Call them a True Sports car...right behind the Vett.....Viper is the only other car and they gone next year....

Had to go do some Fact Finding .. First for 43.000 more bucks it better be fast.. But if you put it up too the ZL1 twn turbo .. Still 28.000 bucks more not so much.. drag race its close.. but on the road coarse The ZL1 trbo Holds its own...E63 is a sleek 4 door the 707 is a road hog... Next years Camaro will have the same under frame as the CTS ..the new ZL1 has the same frame as the CTS V

I was off a little (The 0-60 time is 3.7 seconds on street tires,) from dodges web site so its .2 slower ZR1 rules

Went too 4 sites and all of them said 3.7 so they say Wrong...
Some of them did like 10 passes to get the 3.7 on a blue moon it may do 3.4 and in some of the passes the ZL1 did lower the 3.5 but on 10 runs it was 3.5

ZL1 and shelby aren't built for the same purpose though. The z28 and gt350r are, I'd hope the ZL1 would wax the shelby, considering it's a track car, the zl1 couldnt enter and exit corner lIke the z or shelby does either. A good friend of mine has a new z28. I don't care for all the cheap plastic interior pieces and no ac, it feels like your in a high performance work truck when you sit in it. The shelby has all of that nice stuff, and still eats the z28s lunch. Chevy has some work to do. Cuz if ford can produce a track car, with everything a track car doesn't need, and is a better product all the way around, I don't know what the next step could be. IMO ford is already one step ahead there. Their always trying to outdo the other, that's what makes it interesting to me.

I don't get this Chevy, Ford, Dodge, import, one is bad, blah blah blah. Man, find what you like, no matter what, and give it a try.

I haven't looked up the ZL1, but I'm sure it's bad a$$, just as all the other cars mentioned are, except the Mustangs. I swear you sit in one, and when you start it, it sucks your brain right outta your head. I like Mustangs, it's the people driving them that is awful.

Been around Vettes, Trans Ams, GTO's, my WRX, IROC-Z's, and others, all fun. IROC-Z was a pieced together POS, but fast. Came with the 305 TPI, and put a 350 TPI in it.

Until they find a way to get some rubber under the rear, none of these cars utilize their true HP. Have driven a Mustang and a Hellcat. Way to much power for the tires. Lot of fun tho.

Come on Josh that's like comparing an F-1 car to a Cup car on a road course.
The true American muscle cars have been about the drag strip not the road racing scene.
Though the Shelby Cobra, GT 40, Vette, and Viper have won some of the Worlds top road races over the years......
