“Penn-Yorker†at the “Stateline ShootOut†Stopped by Rain
(Busti, NY) The “Penn-Yorker†portion of the UFo “Stateline ShootOut†at Stateline Speedway was stopped by rain Saturday night. The cancelled races will be rescheduled for April 2017 in order to avoid conflicts with the busy fall racing schedule in the region. The exact plan on the remaining races will be announced in the following week and will correspond to rain check status.
Track officials managed to run UFo Super Late Model, Sportsman, Pure Stock and Challenger heats as well as the 35 lap RUSH Crate Late Model championship in under one hour. The UFo Super Late Models were on the track for the initial laps of their feature when the first show hit. The correct decision was made to end the event for the night, and those in attendance were able to exit the property before the hard downpours invaded.
All Super Late Models in attendance will be awarded 70 show up points for the race date. The 2016 points will still end with the upcoming “ThunderDog Showdown†at Dog Hollow Speedway September 22-23-24.
