The old crown point speedway, summer nat's must have been 04-05? Babb and Moyer side by side the whole feature sparks flying off babe rr lap after lap. 08 illini, happened too be a Babb and Moyer show too. Babb won the B, ran from the tail to battling the last half of the race with big Billy side by side! Great races, wish I had videos! Also anytime I've ever been to FALS, I don't believe there could be a bad race there
Best race you ever watched

I was there that night as well, the place went crazy after that. I honestly thought chub was just walking away and did not realize Drake was actually in second at the time until that last lap. Lets be real Drake was not exactly a household name then but he sure made a name for himself that summer with the Stars.Originally posted by Raceready View PostGreat stuff ! Also there was the Renegade Stars race at Portsmouth, Ohio where Drake passed Chub for the lead around the inside of the tires in turns 1 and 2 on the final lap and so on 3 and 4 Frank returned the gesture and won. Chub said he didn't think it was legal until he saw the other guy do it first. As a result STARS enacted a rule nicknamed " The Chub rule " about passing on the inside of any barriers.
As for best race ever, probably a 4 cylinder stock race at the old 35 raceway park. I believe it was a holiday weekend and nothing else was really going on so I decided to go to this little track to check it out for the first time. All I remember was it was 3 cars wide for the checkers and the car that won was on its roof sliding across the finish line. When that car came to a stop everybody was waiting to see if the driver was okay, that guy climbed out of the car and on top of the upside down vehicle and started jumping for joy. Was a fan of that little track ever since.Rollin' Keg Racing

2 races come to mind. The 1st Illini 100. Babb started shotgun after changing tired right before start. He got to the lead within 50 laps. It was a duel among several drivers with Moyer eventually edging Babb in the end
The 2013 PDC was epic. The Babb Pierce battle lasted for 40 or so laps and then McDowell got involved at the end. Babb got the W in the first of 3 straight race of the years for the PDC but I think the first 100 lappet was the best.

It was the year before Scott and Ronnie became team mates. The 18 and 5 car ran 100 laps door to door swapping the top groove to the bottom groove at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN. I remember the stands stood on there feet for the whole 100 laps. Scott went on to when the race by edging headed at the end.

That 2013 PDC has to be one of the best ever. Birky's pass on the last lap has to be two of the best also. One at Eldora and one at Knoxville. Same first looser.Originally posted by chathamracefan View Post2 races come to mind. The 1st Illini 100. Babb started shotgun after changing tired right before start. Cant remember the year but it was at Potomac when the Vernon Harris race was still 100 laps, but after the few years it was a STARS race. David Williams ran mid pack- top 10 all race, last 5 laps goes up top and passes everyone and pulls away, place goes nuts (even his haters at the time). We still talk about that race today as 1 of if not the best race weve ever seen.
