Continental acquires Hoosier Tire

Cardirt0 probably has never owned any Continental tires. My calling them mediocre was a compliment. He also has probably forgotten that Hoosier couldn't even compete with American Racer in the spec tire race market until they were forced to build spec tires with their comp tire compounds.

They wishy washe part of Hoosier just went out the Window....Continental now make tires for Dirt racing ,Road racing, Drag racing, Rally racing, Oval racing, Off road racing....

Wonder if Hoosier sold out because of that law suit? I know their not named in the suit but if the courts find in favor of the drivers that everyone named in that lawsuit turns around and wants to sue Hoosier.

Now is the time for American Racer to take over the dirt game. I personally love the racers and would pick a racer over a Hoosier unless a track was super hard, in that case give me the continental lol

Doubtful. They've been sued a pile of times over the years and never sold out. Most likely, Continental gave them an offer they couldn't refuse.,

Continental has the only low profile steer tire for big trucks with a decent speed rating!!! I have always ran Michelin tires but after several blow outs on steers and consulting with reps,have changed to Continental. Cheaper and I assume better quality if the speed rating is higher? So I would always assume they are way above mediocre or Michelin is sub par??????

Speed rating doesn't necessarily mean better quality, I work in quality control for Goodyear and I can tell you I wouldn't even put Goodyear on my vehicle. If Continental puts in the effort they have been putting into their product in the past couple years, I would expect some really good things in the near future.

Have had 2 sets Liked them both.. I think they are a good tires... Hoosier will not be the same tire now that they are owned by Continental...They will be making road racing tires soon... I go so far as too say that the Plant will be a lot bigger be for long....They did this cause it will help sell there tire in the USA...They are going after Goodyear...They did not Buy Hoosier cause they are good...They got them too make them good... And make them better...Witch makes them Bigger....

betcha you didn't know that hoosier already makes a road race tire and a good one at that
