They have increased the purse some since starting it. Just how much money is being made???? Total winning purse is 60,000 grand, for all three divisions. Plus rest of field pay out. Tickets are still reasonable. If you don't like it, don't go. Bobby and his family made a decision, so what. Love all these desk jockey promoters!!!!! Everyone would complain if tickets cost more. I haven't missed one, and lord willing will continue to go!

I have no issue with the purse or ticket prices. But based on those, I have no issue with drivers/teams skipping the event. Racing is their life/business. Losing $$$ is bad business so if they choose to stay away, I don't blame them. For others, they attend with the hope of getting a little bit of TV time and hope they can gain some sponsorship. For others, it's about their current sponsors and being there for them. Every team has a different business model.

The days of every single good car showing up at races is long gone (some guys skip the World, other skip the Dream, others skip the DTWC. It's just a fact that someone won't be at a race.

I watch whoever shows up when I go to the races. Only times I am disappointed is if the guy is on the grounds and just doesn't unload.

According to an article in Area Auto Racing News, T Mac's modified suffered too much damage at Oswego during the Super Dirt Week and Coffey's team did not have enough time to repair it for Charlotte. So unless something has changed he will be only competing with his Late Model.

Tmacs mod he ran at oswego is actually a coffey owned car. I believe i read where it was his sons car and was borrowed for oswego.

I was there the night TMAC won the chili bowl and the night he had that nasty crash and broke his neck. The man ain't afraid to wheel anything, I'm not a huge fan but I am a fan. I think he is one of the better sports out there.
