Had the pleasure of seeing Dolan and Merryfied race many times. Both where wheel men. Indian Joe was sponsored by Billy Moyers dad and probably helped get Moyer's career started. Roger Dolan was a smart racer and one of the first I saw that ran the cushion with the best of them. He ran a 9 inch rear long after everyone went to quick changes, because he didn't like giving up the 20 or so horses it took to push them.
