Performed reasonably well at Charlotte and I would expect him to be every bit as good as Weaver, from what I have seen of him.

Will they keep Weavers number or Brandons?

                  Mixed feelings here.

First off I like Brandon Overton, and think he'll do a great job in that ride. I'm just going to miss watching Weaver. Dude was really good especially around here. I can see those personalities meshing really well. I'll be shocked if this isn't a success.

Agree 100% It is always tough when someone makes the decision to step away from the sport, but it is another thing entirely when someone who is still on top of their game makes that decision. Weaver was still a big time threat to win anywhere he went with that team. I think he made a good choice with Overton though and I think they will win often and work well together.

                      A V is, a VC is not.

Is Overton bringing sponsorship with him?

I'm wondering if JD was offered this ride and if so why did he turn it down? Or was Overton simply their choice?

Davenport is where he wants to be.That combination was working very well before CBR came into the picture.Good deal all around.Overton definitely deserves an opportunity and this should be a good one.

My guess is, Barrys group is closer to home for Jd. I think it said in the interview there is 45 mins between Barrys shop and Jd front door.

I'm curious to know if the Budweiser sponsorship came with this deal also, I sure hope it does.

I believe the Budweiser sponsorship is from a local distributor, not the brewery.
