    Lasalle speedway Wilmot sn race

On their facebook page having a contest to suggest where to move this race next year. For us that don't have a FB here is my vote Beaver Dam 1/3 mile.

Dubuque would be my choice, but that would never happen, Beaver Dam, Darlington, Lancaster.

I don't have a Facebook account either, but do monitor some tracks accounts. I think it's a great idea by Tony to at least spark conversation about it. I also chuckled when he referenced the "current tenant" at Joliet!

But if I could vote, I'm with those that mentioned Angell Park Speedway. While they're an open wheel track, the pluses are they run Sundays already (every other week from what I recall), and it's not a bad drive/access off of the interstate. The atmosphere is great up there. I believe the local firemen help run the track, or have a large involvement. I walked the track after a show once and thought then that it'd be neat to see Late Models up there. I believe they hosted the WoO Sprints this season, so the facility should be more than capable of handling a Summer National race.

Wherever it is, I'll do my best to support it!

A lot of votes for sycamore but I don't see many people supporting 2 races at lasalle and then one at sycamore the next day due to close proximity. Beaver dam or Angell would get a better draw I think.

Here is first ever appearance of a stock car at Angell park earlier this year. First heat is kind of slow Feature starts at 6 minute mark.

                  this year.

The fireman own Angell Park... great facility but too narrow for lm's... but they run a fabulous midget deal every Sunday night.

Beaver Dam has two tracks.... the 1/3 mile Beaver Dam Raceway and the big half mile at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. The WoO sprints run the 1/3... the 1/2 mile is back up and running with a racers club doing the promoting.

Darlington has a pretty small grandstand... the Corn Belt guys run at Lancaster... nice facility but way under used.

why are they moving it from Wilmot?

has been my father's day weekend treat with the track being only 30 minutes from my house. no other dirt late models within 2 hours.
