If it isn't one line around the bottom (which I predict it to be, better than no race at all), there will have to be a TON of down-time for fence repair. That dinky fence is going down the first time a modified gets in there too hot and pushes out of the "banking", through that "catch-fence", and into the hotdog stand.

My opinion is that this is going to be a great event! When have never been able to say we get to see Billy Moyer and Scott Bloomquist race in December! I can't wait!

Good luck to everyone involved, if those guys can't make it successful nobody can.

Kevin Gundaker said on a DOD interview that the track was flat on the bottom with more banking as you go up the track. This seems like a successful way to make a multi groove track. If not, it keeps them off the bottom. If it isn't a bottom train race, you always have the Slider to make a race of it.

Steel posts, cattle panels and cable is what you see at most tracks for a catch fence.

I think we have a real good chance of seeing a good race.

Does anyone know how much clay was laid down? Narrow tire mods (and a ton of them) plus a late model count that high... over three days...that's going to be amazing if they keep that track from chunking out. I have visions of the Rockford race in my head. I will be ordering either way, because I give them allot of credit for doing this, but if that track doesn't peel apart by the end of this.... that track crew almost does the impossible. Almost 400 cars over three days on clay just laid down over concrete for just over a week.... idk lol

The way it looks, there should be about 6 foot of clay on the high side. Not sure what's on the low side.

I'll be renting it on DoD. If it goes off well, I am going to try to make it next year.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

They said I believe an 8' in difference from bottom to top. I'd hope at least two feet on the bottom so it doesn't peel up.

My plan as well. Thought about leaving Saturday morning from Wisconsin, but snow looks bad here. I will be ordering it as well on DOD to support them.

Mark it down Litey, I agree.. I think it should turn out pretty decent. At least I hope so with all the work and money put into it.

My hope for this event, no matter how it turns out, is that people don't bash the results.
