There is a video from the Hot Lap secession test that just took place inside the dome on the track on the Gateway Dirt Nationals Facebook page.
Wallace says the dirt is like what they use for AMA Supercross events.
Good Grip in the track.
They where testing the track that way Kevin and crew know hot to prep it for the weekend.

According to DoD, because it was already there from the Super cross race and they got the 750 loads they hauled in at the same place.

Theres no doubt that it is going to be a traction track all the way around Nathan but i'm also pretty sure that you will see alot of torn up equipment on that little 5th mile track as well with all the grip it is going to have with it being layered with Supercross dirt as that stuff is just ruthless on equipment with the Bike's so im curious to see what happens at this racing venue this weekend...

It's the dirt they wanted. What was there was from Monster Jam for monster trucks. They struck a deal with them, and therefore half of what they needed was stored on site. It's good river dirt according to them. It's what will be used for the Monster trucks when they come back. I read where Kenny said motocross, which I'm sure is true. I'm going off of what the guy who is putting it on said. I don't doubt it's used for all 3, looks like good sh!t. And a great choice to have a little test session with Kenny who can definitely help them fix the bugs. I think it's a good financial and dirt choice.

Geese, Dirt is Dirt, just because they used that Midwest Gumbo for a motorcycle track or Monster trucks, it didn't instantly chang it's make up. It came from across the river in IL. Fine bottom land Gumbo. No magic. It probably came down the Missouri from SD farm, thousands of years ago. Gundaker said, they will water it Wed and see what it needs as the week goes by. That sounds like a competent plan. I think they have a better plan than I thought they did.

The actual hard part of this will be the clean up. 48 hours to haul thousands of truck loads of dirt and wash it down. Turn in the rented equipment and take the concrete barriers back. The excitement helped get it up and running. Clean up will be tough.

It's hard to tell because of lighting but from what it looks like that's definitely not the good black dirt like you see at most Illinois tracks.

Yea looks very light colored, fine, and sandy to me. We will see what happens.
