    Championship Streak

Scott Baker of Ionia, Michigan received his award last night for winning his 4th in a row Crystal Motor Speedway(Michigan) Late Model track championship. Pretty good feat considering they average 24 cars every night. Ran 1 Bmain, finished in the top 10 every race and won 4. Four in a row in pretty good and was wondering what other kind of championship streaks are going on out there. Hes to hoping this turns into a good thread lol wishful thinking.

Jeff Rine has won the Late Model track championship at Selinsgrove Speedway for the last 10 seasons.

Track runs about 23 points nights a season I believe and LM runs on 21 of the nights. The talent level and car quality has dropped off a bit the last couple seasons but 4 in a row is a good run no doubt. I believe in 2015 he broke a motor a week or two before championship night and borrowed someone elses ride to still win it. If Ryan Vanderveen would've raced full time he would've have won the championship no doubt but he dropped out while leading the points about half way through the season to run the AELMS on thier first Saturday night event.

He's won a couple at Bedford too. Dude is very good at them PA half miles. Would like to see him at PPMS for one of their specials someday. It should be right up his alley.

Agreed with you on Vanderveen would have most likely won it but I know Ryan did have 1 or 2 DNFs in the second half of the season and still would be have been hard to beat 21 of 21 top tens. And yes in 15' he broke a motor and Brennen Bowen let him run is ride to clinch it. Zack Ogler should have won it in 14' but a track call(almost everyone said it was a favoritism call) aloud Baker to stay ahead by 1 or 2 points. With AELMT still going strong in 17' and Olger hardly running CMS it looks like no one will be there to challenge Baker for 5 in a row... 10 in a row is just nuts

Both pretty impressive, but especially Rine's 10 straight. Never heard of him but it shows how much respect the LMs get in sprint car country. It's much the same in CA where the sprinters rule and the fendered stuff is pretty much a filler class or an afterthought.
