There was a good field of cars on hand for last night's practice at Smoky Mountain Speedway for the Spring Nationals Tennessee Tipoff. Chris Madde, Jonathan Davenport, Jimmy Owens, Brandon Overton, and Tim McCreadie were just some of the drivers that attended and will be racing this weekend. The weather will be a little brisk, dress warmly.

Should be one heck of a show, would be good to see Owens get back to his winning ways in his home state but that's gonna be one stacked field.

Yes, it should be a good one. Too bad SNBS didn't reschedule it to a better weather related time, then it would have been an awesome night race instead of a good day race.

It's not a SNBS race. It's a Spring Nationals race.

They looked at other dates, but there wasn't a good time with SNBS, SAS, Iron Man, Lucas, and other races throughout the area the next month or so. They're trying to make this one of the showcase events of the year. Win some, lose some this time of the year. The weather was very nice this time last year when they had this race.

Yes, it's a good field of cars. I just said no need for heats with 23 cars, everyone makes the show. They would have had 35+ on a decent weekend.

Yeah,the weather definitely hurt the car count,but at least the track should stay good with less laps on it.
