I never got the chance to get down there but always wondered what happened to the place? I know in this part of illinois u have a ton of tracks open on sat and 3 on fri so by sun its hard to get anywhere.

Based on some of the video highlights I've seen the racing looked great.

If I remember correctly, they wanted to move and expand their scrap yard, but zoning issues didn't allow it so they tore the track out to expand their scrap yard. Something to that effect anyway.

Was the $ thing Scrap was making them cash and the track was not.....

It really had to do with zoning more than anything. Pissed of The old man and he said fine we won't race in town then. I think everyone in town there is a racer.
