Farmer City Raceway (IL): WOO LMS - ILLINI Weekend - Driver Roll Call - Who's Coming?

I have never been to Farmer City and was thinking about maybe hitting the Friday night show. I am not able to be there for Saturday so is it worth the 3 1/2 hour one way trip to see Friday show only? Also what time should I plan on being there in order to get a decent seat? Any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sat is worth it but i watch and if they get a lot of rain Fri the pits are wet now so it will not take a lot to make them unusable...If it rains Fri i just dont see this show making it....

Maybe they'll wait until everybody gets there and then postpone it like last year. I'm not getting my hopes for Friday. Hopefully they would run both shows on Saturday if Friday doesn't work out.

I think WoO will Learn from last year the had a lot of pi$$ed people..If they don't run Fri they will not run sat its 90% change of rain...Just stared raining and it real wet now not looking good... I am only 28 miles from track...We like too sit by the tree here and you would have to wade in the water to get there...

Was it the year before? Didn't B Shepp win it one year? I'm trying to remember when I first went and watched. Regardless, I hope they get it in. Arguably my favorite track now (at least for those that run weekly).

I would expect out of town haulers to start arriving today. Not a chance they can get into pits. We had a lot of rain last night. Kind of bummed but I wouldn't be upset if they pushed it back like last year. This is too big a event to play out on a cr@ppy weekend like they have forecasted.

Having seen a lot of dirt turned over this week around central IL, the water table is quite high right now. I haven't been within 20 miles of FC, but the same weather has been there as has been along the I 55 corridor, and that leads to this race not happening this weekend. Too much moisture in the ground, continued rain/moisture from the sky, and no drying from the sun.

OK the forecast I just looked at kinda iffy it said rain all day today and tonight until about 5 o'clock am in the morning then no rain all day tomorrow, tomorrow night or Saturday all day I guess it depends on how much it rains from now till in the morning early so we'll see.

From past experience the pits are the problem drying up. I just don't see that happening today. Hope for the best and prepare for the worse.
