If so he can't be happy about the AELT basically next door paying twice that.

Only reason I think they didn't say bolt on is that then you're drilling holes or putting on brackets to bolt on plates. Then they gotta specify the bolts so you don't use too long of bolts or sh!tty cheap bolts. Some way they'd fuk it up.

With welding, while you gotta be able to weld, it's simpler. Though that's tricky to because you weaken the metal wherever you welded. And you best not fuk up the weld job. But, while I agree they should mandate door plates, you cannot be the only place that does. I think my brothers 2016 Mars mod came with a plate.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

I love Eldora and it is the closest dirt track to my house, but the sad facts are the track is living off the history and it is living of the past! Eldora is a special events track only most of the time. Earl built a track for the community. those days are gone. They headline shows with Mods several times a yr. On a 1/4 or 3/8 mods are great, they get lost on that track. Eldora makes way too much money to pay so low. I could understand a small track paying like that. A few years the car counts were a lot higher because you had 10-12 cars come from michigan for alms races, no longer.

If you want it done right, that level of detail, with the bolts, is necessary. If they allowed bolt on, you could get away being the only track to require it. Or at least it would be easier for folks to stomach. In actuality, in the event that the strength of the plate was not sufficient to stop a particular object from piercing the plate, a bolted plate would perform better.

Living on it's fame and history and the fact that the facility is so much larger than any track around. There is no way that the 2K ALMS payout at a half mile track makes any sense at all anymore.

No regular LM race should pay one cent less than 2K at this track. And even that would not draw a good car count. Of course they schedule such races a week before their big races so that some cars will come in simply to practice for the coming big race the next week. That trick works every year.

That's why they do the Johnny Appleseed Classic on Memorial Day weekend before the Dream and the Baltes Classic on Labor Day weekend before the World. Even with these 2 races the car counts not great. Last year they had maybe 5 drivers show up that normally don't. Jimmy Mars and Dennis Erb to name a few. It actually paid off for Dennis Erb since he won the $100,000.
