Per Lee County Speedway web site for May 4th: Some of the drivers the fans can expect include current points leader Rodney Sanders, Jesse Stovall, Terry Phillips, Tony Jackson Jr., Randy Timms, Scott Crigler, Payton Looney, Justin Asplin, JC Wyman, Cole Wells, Raymond Merrill, Matt Butler, Brantlee Gotschall, Joey Moriarty, Jimmy Mars, Chad Simpson, Chris Simpson and more.

All we can say is we can't wait until Thursday for the Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models to invade Lee County Speedway. This is shaping up to being the biggest race we have seen in Southeast Iowa for a long time. The talent in all classes is going to be extremely high with the phone calls we have received. Usually we get around 30 to 35 of the best late models in the midwest for this show. This Thursday we won't be surprised if we don't break that record with all the flooding in the area and some series off for the weekend.. Just left Karl Chevrolet and Billy Moyer Sr. and maybe Jr. are planning on shaking down in Oskaloosa on Wednesday and hoping to make the trip down to Donnelson on Thursday. Plus there should and will be some other big surprises come Thursday. Last year we had 130 cars in the pits for this show. Best $20 ticket you will pay all year. Remember hot laps and time trials start at 645.

Jason Feger will be at Davenport and maybe Donnelson. Billy Moyer will at least be at Davenport. Ricky Thornton Jr. will be at all three.

I'd love to hit Donnelson one of these days. It's just a bit far for me on a Thursday. I do plan on going to Davenport on Friday though.
