It was actually Allen Weisser picking up the mod win.

Was this the first race on the new configuration? If so, any word on how the track held up?

I was there last night. The features where good but the need to figure out how to keep more moisture in the track surface especially on the high side. The midget feature was good. Spencer Bayston went for a wild ride while going for the lead in turn 2. The Modified feature was a bit hairy. Kenny Wallace lost a hood pin, Stremme's hood was a bit tore up as well. Jacob Poel & Mike McKinney also had good runs. Allen Weisser's car was fast in the long runs. The sprint feature had a last lap passes for the win. The only negitive was the track wasn't packing and was like cumbs where the coushion would normally be. I think the weather had a bit to do with that as it was hot and windy and the track was drying out fast and would pack that well. Over all the racing was decent. I'd give the show on a scale of 1-10 an 8.5. Track is a bit flat but very wide. Probably close to a 4/10's mile. If they get the track prep figured out I think it will be ok. The Izzo family (LaSalle) was doing the track prep.
