This event has been postponed until Sunday July 2nd due to high chances of rain around race time. Weather looks much more favorable for Sunday July 2nd!

They just can't have passing on that track when it is dry slick. That is the reason I don't go, three hundred miles to see those conditions is not going to happen anymore.

We were fortunate enough to see the track on a couple of good nights and it was awesome/incredible when wet and tacky.

If it rains the night before, the track seals up and it won't take much water the next day. Aand last night is what happens. There's not much that can be done about that.

Let me tell you something if you water your race track during the week right before dark you want have to worry about rain and yes Clayton when John Thompson owned it was good all the time never seen a bad race and on top of it all the track has brand new clay on it if you put just a little effort it should be halfway decent I don't think your doing anything.

I agree Thompson had the track when we saw the great racing.

Clayton you and 3wide are absolutely correct. You have to work and prep the track more than once a week. You have to use a sheepsfooter to allow the water to soak in. This keeps the track tacky and not crusty hard black slick. They need to check with the McCarter family about prepping a track. They prepped Volunteer for the Memorial Day race as they have each race there this year. Racing is the best I've ever seen over there in 20 yrs. Track records were broken more than once for their Memorial Day race. I just wish The Taz was prepped like that. It would show its teeth each and every week. Btw John Thompson was the best! He cared about the drivers and especially the fans!!!
