Which original car? The one welded to the trailer or the one that races? The one welded to the trailer belonged to a friend of mine and they bought it off him for the movie.Originally posted by Krooser View PostPolitically Incorrect.

I'd love to see today's late model stars driving that style of car. What a fun race that would be.

The car on the trailer wasn't raced, it had been retired and was sitting in a field and had been raced by Sam Cochran #64 from Mableton, Georgia. They welded it to the trailer for the chase seen when the kids stole his racing rig(camper/trailer). Not sure how many cars were raced though or who built or owned them. They filmed it at Dixie Speedway, Seven Flags(West Atl Speedway) and I believe Senoia was in it too as Mikey Swimms owned all 3 back then.Originally posted by pa_dirt View Posthttp://topclassiccarsforsale.com/che...ny-rogers.html Looks like the car that was welded to the trailer was actually one of the ones that was raced too.I was a highwayman

That and Days of Thunder, my favorite racing movies.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.
