Engine combinations are a big part of what makes racing interesting. Especially Late Model racing. I always go down into the pits and see what type of engine every driver has in their car. Josh has run Durham Ford engines.

Believe it or not I have! 20 years ago 5k was a big win in a modified car and I have contributed to much more than that in my 40 years involved in the sport. Richards was a Roush Yates, then Durham guy from day one. It was pretty clear something was slightly off about the Best/Richards combo this season. I'm thinking the thought process was getting Richards back into the same level of equipment he dominated with the last few years. So far, it looks like it was a smart decision.

I know that. I should have been clearer. When Roush Yates got into the DLM
game the Rocket house car jumped on right away. Then RY got out of building motors and Durham jumped out on his own, the house jumped over there right away too.

I guess anyone that runs a Durham engine is stealing bloomers setup now. That's a long list of people....I bet Andy like selling Scott's setup then.

Was Bloomer about the first to go to a Durham, sure. But I think only because maybe Josh was using Cornett RY 45's. I think Cornett was putting them together, not positive. Really immaterial, Vic Hill motors were the same, Bloomer, then quite a few. But so what, they all jump around to what's hot. I'm just glad Josh is running well again. It was only a matter of time, because he was stout in the Durhams, and the Dargies just weren't cutting it.

It should be viewed as a compliment when people switch to what Scott has, not some degrading thing. And the sport has always been about running what the fast guys are if you can afford it.

Gotcha. Knew it all kinda got muddled when Rousch stopped the RY45 stuff in house. Wasn't positive, but thanks for the info. I could care less who runs what as far as if it's what someone else does. Good competitive racing, all I care about.
