Will they ever start a national sprint car tour to rival WoO?

They have a national tour and most of the regional series under the Lucas Oil ASCS banner, it is a 360 national tour. There are not enough 410 teams in the nation to make two full tours.

The only thing WOO has going for them is the history and the Nascar owners. ASCS gets way higher car counts at their national events than WOO. In fact, I'd say the majority of WOO races have at least 2-4 360 cars filling out the field just to get the start money. Plus ASCS has the regional satellite series that they co-sanction with from time to time.

That being said, the WOO sprint cars are still the greatest show on dirt in my opinion. And thank God for a safe Iowa Speedweek. I don't think one car flipped over Saturday night.

Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Kyle Larson, Ricky Stenhouse all own teams on the WoO circuit. That's what he was getting at.

And every time a NASCAR driver runs a WoO show. It'll get a plug with the NASCAR boys.

Yes, if it wasn't for Kahne's 2-3 cars, Tony's Car(s), Larson's car(s)....Woo would only have 5-6 guys following the tour.

Sure, ASCOC is much better since Tony bought it. A shame he can't behave well enough to race in it.

In fact, I'll state your 360 claim is 100% false. 360's are NOT filling the field for start $ at a majority of WoO sprintcar races!?!? Whoever told you that has no idea what they're talking about.

Where did you find this fact? Do you attend WoO sprint events?

The WoO sprints race 80+ times per year and only at a few select events do they draw under 30 cars. By your claim/math (41+ events) have 2-4 360's on the A-main grid. Simply not true, look at the race results. They're all posted.

Find 5 WoO sprintcar races from this season where one, just one, 360 sprint started the A-main, let alone an event where 2-4 360 sprints entered.

Now...if you want to tell us about crate LM filling the field at some summer nationals shows, then you're onto something.

Btw, WoO sprints runs/promotes shows with the regional 410 series...PA Posse, Knoxville regulars, IRA, the All-Stars, etc. throughout their season and has for decades.

There's not two national-level 410 sprint car series b/c the WoO put Steve Kinser (20 x WoO champ) out to pasture both times he tried to start a rival series. The last time was the National Sprint Tour back in 2006.

Lucas Oil wants no part of taking on the WoO at the 410 sprint level. Not unless they're ok with wasting tons of $$$ running a 410 series without stops at Eldora, Knoxville, and Lernerville, and without the support of Tony Stewart and his All-Stars series. Tony's not gonna help a Lucas Oil 410 series when his top gun (Schatz) is running WoO.

C'mon boys....why do you think the Nascar boys have their 410 sprintcar teams run with the WoO?

Simple...because the Outlaws are the top dog of the sprintcar world. If they weren't, those teams would be racing elsewhere.

The Nascar boys don't have enough time, effort, or money to go out and start their own 410 series. Why?? Why re-invent the wheel when the wheel has a 40 year history of success, the wheel is on the hook for all the cost to run the series, and the wheel is paying them to race.

The concern all of us should have, as late model fans is...why do the Nascar boys throw $$ into the wind to support sprintcar racing, but only one (Bowyer) is invested in late models.

I would guess they invest in sprints because they raced sprints. Tony will race anything, but the rest all have a sprint car background. Boyer has a modified background. I'm not sure if he drove a late model.
