Why a $20k unsanctioned event the same weekend as both WoO and LOLMS holding events? I know the little guy would like it but is there a reasoning?

WoO was originally off that weekend but they had a couple rainouts and decided to use that weekend as make up dates.

Duck River pays 14k the very next weekend against the dixie/rome lucas weekend. Crazy aint it? I expect Johnny Stokes to move the cotton pickin'...I can at least hope

The last 5 years I believe the CP100 has been the 2nd weekend of Oct. The Knoxville LM Nationals used to be the last weekend of Sept to maybe Oct 2nd. Lucas took over the sanction and left the dates alone till around 2014 then they changed it to the same weekend as the CP100. Can't blame The Mag for the overlap. I can guarantee you The Mag wants a stand alone weekend. That will make a bigger draw for cars and people. Just don't see anything changing though.

Not saying this event is one but it seems alot of the "crown jewel" races are bunched together into one months time causing somewhat of an overlap of other events.

By the end of August, most of the local tracks are don't with points. That's when it seems some of the bigger named tracks look at Special Events. Over the last 8 to 10 years they have snowballed. I just don't see and end to the overlap. It's just a matter of who steps on another series or unsanctioned events toes and can make it work.Originally posted by MI Dirt Fan View PostNot saying this event is one but it seems alot of the "crown jewel" races are bunched together into one months time causing somewhat of an overlap of other events.

Silver dollar Nationals, PDC, USA Nationals, North/South and the Topless for starters are all in one months time I believe or pretty close. Then not long after that the Hillbilly, World and Knoxville Nationals.

They didn't move the date until last year because it fall on same wk as DTWC. They couldnt find good schedule date between mid sep.-2nd week of Oct. Because Lucas big money event or stepping on MSCCS. Mag choice not to step on its own state, rather go against Lucas other than DTWC. But mag has went against a lot other big events at same time and still around. It will always draw lot cars and put on a great show.Originally posted by slmcrewchief99 View PostThe last 5 years I believe the CP100 has been the 2nd weekend of Oct. And finishes behind a Marlar/Overton rematch! Bronson may have a decent shot as he gets around the mag pretty good (funny as that is to say). The week between dtwc and world finals is the only wide open date isnt it? Thats deep into Oct though. If there happened to be some weather that would likely push it third week of Nov if they avoided World Finals and National 100. Just a bad situationOriginally posted by DodgecityI'd almost bet JD shows

If you go look the CP100 for 13, 14, and 15 was the 2nd weekend of Oct. Lucas didn't have any dates that weekend. Lucas changed their dates around and took that weekend. The Mag changed to Sept to help the situation. Then this year Lucas scheduled PPMS Oct 6th and 7th along with every weekend in Sept. If Lucas wouldn't have done that, the CP100 would be right back as a stand alone weekend in Oct. Don't blame the Mag any at all for leaving their date in Sept. By the 1st of Oct you start having to deal with the weather. Along with Lucas taking that weekend. So from how I see it. I'm good with it stepping on Lucas.Originally posted by Kwd1253 View PostThey didn't move the date until last year because it fall on same wk as DTWC.
