SHANE UNGER MEMORIAL ROOKIE AWARDS ($5,000 POSTED)

Drivers attempting World 100 weekend for the first time are eligible for the "Shane Unger Memorial Rookie Awards." Thursday & Friday ($1,000 posted per night + $1,000 for highest point rookie): The top-three preforming rookie drivers in each of the Thursday & Friday programs ranked by total points for the night, will be awarded 1) $500; 2) $300; and 3) $200. The rookie driver highest in accumulated points after the two preliminary programs will be awarded $1,000. SATURDAY ($2,000): The best overall finishing rookie driver in Saturday's World 100 program will be awarded $2,000 and the Shane Unger Memorial Rookie of the Race Award.

Any idea on a list of guys trying the World for the first time?

I like this idea but the best appearing car was really a cool thing. Hope someone picks that back up as well.

Well since Ross has looked good in the BWRC cars with an engine maybe he and Barry decide to try their hand.
What about Jeff Wilson in the Jim Beeman car; would he be a first timer at Eldora?
