    Best Series.....Lucas or WOO

I know this has been discussed many times but again let's hear everyone's opinion.

I say Lucas hands down is the better series simply because they have better drivers.

Lucas got better starpower, but is a little too top heavy. WoO tends to be more competitive with each other from top to bottom.

Both series have their positives and negatives, but it's pretty cool that late model racing is strong enough to support two national tours.

I'm gonna agree with Josh. Few more of the top named drivers in Lucas but that don't mean anything. WoO has a great group of guys to follow the series. From the way I see it, If you watch the races as a true fan, it's all about the racing, and not the drivers anyway. More times than not both series have great competitive races from front to back and that's what we all want to see.

        NDRL...... Oh wait

With the addition of Richards, Lucas without a doubt. Bshepp doesn't have the accomplishments of him yet. I still think that if anyone is going to beat the Rocket house car either Bloomquist or TMac (in the current Longhorn ride) will have to go over there.

I'll say Lucas. For the most part it's been a Bshep show over at WoO. Behind him it is kinda hit or miss who's gonna be in the top 5 on a regular night, which is good to see. Lucas has had a lot of different winners throughout the year so far, that's what I like seeing.

Here's some interesting facts to ponder

            Lucas has had 15 different winners in 37 races ( 41% )
            Outlaws has had 11 different winners in 38 races ( 29% )

In Lucas Oil races this year head to head Richards has had a better result over Sheppard 7 times to 5, but T-Mac has beat Shepp 9 times to 3. And Bloomquist has had a better result 6 times to 4 over Shepp.

In the Outlaw races head to head T-Mac and Shepp are tied 3-3 and Shepp has had a better result over Bloomer 5-0 while of course Josh has not run any WoO races in '17

Comparing Bobby Pierce in Lucas races in '17 Richards has had a better result over Pierce 6 times to 3 -- T-Mac has had a 9 times to 1 result advantage over Pierce -- and Bloomquist has had a 7-4 advantage over Pierce head to head

In Outlaw races this year Shepp holds a 5-2 advantage over Pierce head to head, while Shepp had a 5-1 advantage over Pierce in the Summernationals in June-July.

So; make your own conclusions guys ! It is cool to look at it in this fashion to perhaps determine what series is the best and I do believe these five drivers have been the best in DLM racing in 2017 with perhaps Overton a close 6th

I prefer the Lucas series over the WoO series when they come to my area.

So guys like Overton, Marlar, Chris Simpson, and Dale McDowell are chopped liver because they don't follow a tour? That's some intelligent thinkin there

And once again, thanks to MontanaMagic for his unmatched statistical analysis. Since the topic is which series is best among the two major series, I would take Lucas with out a doubt. Would be cool if somehow they could come together and co-sanc a race, I don't care where, but somewhere near Omaha, Ne would be nice.
I live with fear, but sometimes she lets me race.

I prefer which ever one I attend. After Ga.-Fla. speedweeks I attend whichever is in a reasonable driving distance to me. I usually attend around 30 WOO or Lucas shows a year and the split is pretty equal.

Couldn't have typed it better myself hustler ! My whole point to responding to this post was which series " had the better drivers ". I just decided to have a little fun comparing who I felt were the five best drivers in DLM racing in 2017 and of course I feel Pierce is amongst that list, wouldn't u agree racer ? Well maybe not; because of your reference to him as " booby " ! Just because Pierce doesn't follow a series does not mean dogspit to me. When all these guys get together in a big crown jewel race or a high dollar series race, there's always going to be yahoos like me who not only study the results but compare results to see who was the best on that given night and isn't that what its all about in any kind of debate and discussion.

And hustler, I like your style when it comes to the drivers u mentioned that could be brought up in any kind of debate; so I'll take a little more time this a.m. and give some comparisons to the drivers you listed because I might like some drivers a tad bit more, ALL these drivers are dammed good, and I enjoy watching them and respecting their individual talents as I'm sure we all do.

And thanks berck fan, I like posts like these because it brings out discussions that we all can agree or disagree about.
