To answer the question: Nothing. Once I make my mind up to not go back to a dirt track, only a change of ownership/track prep personnel will bring me back. I do have a list of half a dozen dirt tracks that I will NOT go back to until new ownership, but I am not on here to torch them. Just waiting for them to sell or be bought out...

On the same note tho, its not just race tracks. I walked out (pissed off) of Sears Automotive in 1985 and have NEVER, nor will I EVER, go back again. Same for a Ponderosa steakhouse in 1990.
Both Lowe's and my local Home Depot are on that "WILL NOT EVER go back" list as well.

If I'm irritated enough to not go back, it's because I feel the track didn't hold up their end of a money for entertainment bargain. I'll keep a eye on them for couple years to see if the straightened out. Most times you only get one chance at a first impression. When tracks feel they don't owe you anything for the money you spend, they re on their way out.

and 602 crate anything. Man are they dull to watch. Be honest, if you start hiding things, deleting posts, it gets around. We have a track near us that is notorious for single file dusty train race events, but if you read the right ups it sounds like the most exciting track you'd ever see. After being duped over and over, shows routinely running 2-3 o'clock in the morning you just don't care anymore.

Several years ago just before Independence Day we made the 3 hour trip one way over to Terre Haute for The Sumar Classic USAC Silver Crown 100 lapper. For reasons never disclosed they scheduled the event as an afternoon show. Long story short the track was so dusty that they red flagged the race after only 1/2 lap and totally cancelled the event. Thomas Meseraull got crossed up and ended up on his side on the backstretch and another car hit him in the cage. Thankfully T-Mez was okay.

It was announced before we left the stands that our tickets would be honored for Indiana Sprint Week which was less than 2 weeks later and everyone who had a ticket for the Sumar would also be given an Indiana Sprint Week T-shirt of their choice.

The promoter lost us and won us back, basically within a matter of less than an hour. They were hugely apologetic and made a lot of pissed off people happy again with the T-shirt give-away.

Now that is classy and smart. I've seen the video of that, TMez lucky not to be hurt, cage looked bad.

I'm that way about QA1, they bought out a company I worked for and invited me to come to Minnesota to help with the transition. After seeing behind the curtain, finding out how they felt about the customers I couldn't take it and flew home asap.

A buddy of mine is retired Military (Army), and now refuses to watch the NFL because they don't require their players to stand for the National Anthem.

I haven't watched a NFL game since Kaperd1ck started that cr@p back when. And I put the blame on his employer for not putting his foot down. I wish the NFL would somehow go belly up

I am not quick to pull the trigger on racetracks.
Racetrack #1 on the list repeatedly is a dusty mess. Same goes for Racetrack #2.
Racetrack #3 is over 3hrs drive. Twice I showed up there on sunny days only to find out it had been canceled already due to earlier rains (that had moved out).
Racetrack #4 sold me a warm pop the first time I went, won't allow coolers and didn't give discounts on a "rescheduled" event that the original event had advertised.
Racetrack #5 refuses to invest in the track. It repeatedly, every year has sold out, SRO, high profile sprint car shows and wont even pay to put the dang flag pole back up.

Commercial and services, I am not near as lenient:
Sears, well, I was 17, jump started my Mopar and went in for a battery. They said they'd install it free of charge. I said I can do it, but ok, go ahead.
So I took a walk around the mall, killed 2 hours eating and playing video games. I went back and they said it wasn't done, come back in a hour (Its a battery folks... that any one of us could have installed in 5 minutes)
I killed another hour and came back. They had my car up on the lift (for a battery?) and proceeded to tell me I needed ball joints, control arms, shocks, brakes, muffler and exhaust and that they could do that all for me (a broke teenager, in an Iron Maiden shirt) for $2400....

Ponderosa took 3+ hours to get a steak well done.
Lowe's had me on hold on the phone for 4+ hours just trying to find out if they would take empty paint cans back. And Depot sent the laziest MF installers ever to put a dishwasher in.

A few bad apples should not ruin the whole basket. But A-holes like that need to be fined and or fired.

Employers are often afraid to do anything. No excuse for that!!
