Tyler Co. offers reserved seats for all their races. Believe it's the top 3 rows along the front stretch down thru turn 1. Their seating situation is in dire need of an upgrade.

Yep, it's Carl's race. Primitive track that usually has decent racing.

Tyler Co looks the same when you walk through the gates as it did when I was a kid in 1983. It's sad that the fairgrounds won't invest in their facility more. The track itself is perfectly shaped but it usually very dusty. I used to love going but anymore I spend my bucks on facilities that are fan-friendly. To each his own though; there are a lot of folks who don't care and that's fine too. I want every track to succeed but that place does need brought up to modern standards.

If you do go to Tyler I hope you get to see a race like last night and hope to the good lord above we never see a race at Tyler like we did in the 2016 edition. Last nights race was as good as any race in the country.

That's good to know, 00Hdmn...It must have been a good one. What happened to the race back in 2016? I've never been there. You'd think for $50K, they'd pick a premier facility but if I had to choose between a state of the art facility versus slicing/dicing for position and lots of passing, I'd take the latter but who wants to sit in the dust bowl and get covered with dirt? Sheesh! I've experienced enough of that at Brownstown Speedway and a few others. It's never pleasant...

You'd think maybe moving it to Portsmouth Raceway Park for $50K since they run the DTWC for $100K to win, there.Wonder if Carl Short plans to make such stipulations for it to be brought up to par? Hopefully, he will.I haven't gotten to watch that race yet on DoD, but plan to. I'd like to attend it if I don't have to eat dust all night long and walk away with a full blown asthma attack due to shortness of breath.

The racing at PRP isn't very good though. When Tyler is prepped right, which used to be much more often, it is one of the raciest tracks in the country. The track has always been dirty. It's not dust because the track is dry, it's usually wet dirt that rains down on you that is caused by the silt in the creek that they get their water from. It's really not that bad.

Guess you never been to Pennsboro? Or any Hillbilly 100s? It is always at a rustic location. And Tyler is capable of fantastic racing. PRP just isn't on that level for likelihood of a great race., IMO.

Thanks, GEAR_HEAD. That's good to know. PRP was okay last year. Good enough I'm planning on returning there for the DTWC but it seemed like the heats were better than the feature. I can't wait for DoD to put this race of Middlebourne, WV on their videos selection (they may not since it is a MAV TV video, most likely) I have heard the racing there is GOOD! Thank you, again!

Oh you will get dirty, but you have to put your big boy panties on, its well worth it when the racing is good. You know It is a dirt track.

I'll throw my 2 cents in on why this years Hillbilly was good and last years sucked. This year it rained out the first night which meant Lucas hit the track on the first day of racing. Track prep didn't create the good racing, mother nature did.
