They're the reason you are in the stands. It's like Larry Moore once said, "if you don't like it, there's always asphalt"

And for heavens sake, why do they need 900 hp if they just feather foot on a skating rink? Other than qualifying.Originally posted by ptown View PostWho cares what the drivers want, they're not sitting in the stands watching slow motion racing.
Some cars in the eighties were pretty flimsy Masters. The Hobbs Rayburn was supposed to be under 1700 lbs. and the A- frames were spindly.

You tell me? How many years has this water truck/tacky track thread came up? Has anything ever been done about it? NO!! They don't need 900 hp motors. When you go to these regular shows 1/2 are not near that. That's why 2 or 3 of the run away with the show. Again we are not in the 80's, this is 2017Last edited by Hoosier_Dirt; 09-06-2017, 07:52 PM.

Most places they don't need 900hp. Thank God.Originally posted by Clayton_Wetter View PostAnd for heavens sake, why do they need 900 hp if they just feather foot on a skating rink? Other than qualifying.

It doesn't matter what year it is. Cars have improved and tracks have gotten worse. Of course when they are hard as a rock and rubbered up skating rinks it is progress to you.Originally posted by Hoosier_Dirt View PostYou tell me? How about a tacky clay track instead of dirtsphalt feather foot skating as the best alternative? Oh it's 2017, I see. NOT!!!
