When Steve Francis won, the track was slick and slow to the tune 24 plus seconds a lap. Now, that thing hooked up and on the wood. This is why the fuel was never an issue before last year. They need to slow it down some. They were hitting 17.2 in TTs. The track record is 16.6, that was set 10 years ago after that down pour. No way should the late models be within a second of the track record on a place that big under normal conditions.
I don't think adding a support class is the answer. I was there when they had A mods and it seemed more hinderance than anything else.
