    Dan Schlieper

Saw he ran the Dirt Kings finale at 141 yesterday... and he was in the S9at Oshkosh, too. Didn't run too well but I'm not sure what car he was in... maybe his last Rayburn?

His Dad was quite an engine guy back in the day...machined more than one BBF for me.

I think the last car he "owned" was a Bloomquist, but I'd love to see him get back in a Rayburn. I know towards the end of his full time competition he was in a "Wild" chassis too. Seems like he made a brief comeback a couple seasons back in either a Brucebilt or a Revolution, but I don't recall for sure.

He was listed as the contact person in an ad a few years ago that listed a Rayburn for sale...the price was in the stratosphere...

The first Dirt Kings show he ran he was in an MB Customs I believe owned by Jimmy or Chris Mars. This was probably the same car.

He parked next to us the first time he was ever at Shawano in the early 90's. The guy shows up and goes out with no driver's suit. Just a t-shirt, jeans, and a helmet. With the way he drove that night I'm pretty sure he was wearing a blindfold. That would be the only explanation for how out of control he was. Have to give the guy credit though...he got good in a hurry.

No, Mastersbilt. They added swing arms but was based on Mastersbilt.
