Ah gotcha...thanks whats the purpose of a dummy shock? And is the dummy shock the one in the coil over or on the outside?

Dummy shock is kind of an old term from the early LR behind days where one was often for spring mounting and the other one had valving. These days, both shocks are doing something for the car.

Thanks MasterSBilt.. I remember about 06-07 UMP started allowing mods to run a coil over but still had to have the "live shock" on a separate mount but knew a few guys who would just sand a bilstien down paint it and say it was a dummy shock in the coil over..so I absolutely believe ya when you say both are doing something...
