Lucas Oil/DTWC Dropping the Ball

Sure seems like someone dropped the ball...NO PPV. You have a points championship between 3 drivers that is coming down to the wire and no way to order it on PPV.

Now before anyone makes a smart @ss comment about sitting home and not going, not everyone can afford to take time off work to attend every race they'd like to. We split our time between vacation for certain events and PPV events.

Too bad that in 2017 we have to get results like it's 1997...

I've thought this all along. Last year it was shown on Lucas t.v. I've seen where a couple have said it would recorded and shown on a later date, as of now it's not on the tv schedule on the series web page.

Besides the point battle, how is something that pays 100k and named the "Dirt Track World Championship" not broadcasted? Last Lucas race of the year. Hopefully something turns up. I'll buy from which ever streaming service at this point....lame weekend in Dixie.

I believe these races should never be live. 6 weeks later on a Sunday afternoon is the way it should be. TV is one thing that has hurt racing. Used to go to the Knoxville Sprint Car nationals till the mid 90's and TV got in the way. There's enough down time on the last night of racing and TV MAKES TWICE AS MUCH.

You are right. With my schedule I'm certainly not making trip. I would however be more than happy to fork over 60-70 bucks to watch both nights on PPV.

It's not like this points battle just popped up last week, we all could see this coming really since the North-South weekend

I wanted to have sponsors over, friends and such rent the PPV and watch but unfortunately not available this weekend. I have made that 12 hour drive the last two weekends. 1. To pick up a new chassis the 2. To Columbus for horse show. Can’t justify the drive again this weekend. But wanted to see it and was willing to pay...

I disagree with Tuty, would love to get more TV time. I go to Lucas Oil off road races, crazy sponsors, crazy fans, trucks don’t cost much different. Younger fans, or fans from across the US cant always make it to the track. One example is I have been to atomic the last two weekends, would love to be able to watch next weekend, without the drive.

It's not up to Lucas alone to decide what races is on ppv. The track promotors must agree to it. Some promotors believe that ppv hurts the front gate more than they can make on royalties on ppv sales. Some won't televise no matter what.

We have a winner. Tsand. If the promotor doesn't want it then guess what. No PPV, TAPE DELAY NO FEEDS. This race has a huge purse, they want every dime they can get coming thru the gates, concessions and the various other forms of intake.

If the promoter really wants to make sure they get as much money as possible, they should move the race to a track that can seat more than 4,000 fans...and also offer some PPV...time to move the DTWC.
