Not saying Dohm is guilty but like a lot of people said on here when you have egg on your face you deny deny deny...and you can do it till the cows come home and make a long post or whatever because its a he said she said thing there is no way to prove you are lying..(besides a lie detector) but unfortunately the test says they are bad and thats what counts in this case...

Exactly, and bet your bippy you won’t either as long as the manufacturers are getting their pockets “juiced†by the series. Racers will cut corners and play in the gray every chance they can, that’s what innovative people do in most aspects of life. But hard to feel good about the whole testing process when so much of it is behind closed doors. Like our current pres says “believe meâ€, sure thing there Pinocchio.Originally posted by tsand View PostThere is one side that is never heard from and that is the tire manufacturers.I hate time trials.

There is this other guy that's been eluding to that for a while....he was the one with the tin foil hat business that was doing so well.Originally posted by Drop Shock View PostI am a long time Dohm supporter and don't see something like this out of them. There is an issue in the sampling process or something from the factory. Makes me question the legitimacy guys like Bloomer, Owens, Sheppard, Satterlee, Thornton, Marlar, Boggs, etc failing their tire tests in recent years.
The testing process has already been proven to be flawless , hasn't it?
World finals results winners will be posted around the 17/18th of November.....ill just wait for them to come out before I cheer the winner.....exciting , huh?Last edited by Barbecueboy; 10-26-2017, 08:11 AM.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

I heard a guy eluding to this too.......same tin foil hat guy.Originally posted by tsand View PostThere is one side that is never heard from and that is the tire manufacturers. They can never guarantee that every batch of tires is made up chemicallay the same way every time. In fact it would be impossible to do so. As some one who has worked in the chemical industry for 40 years I see it every day that the make up of chemicals is always in a state of flux. Don't know if you been keeping up with the latest out of china but one of its largest steel manufacturers was caught falseifing tests on the make up of its products.many that is used in the auto industry so some major recalls may be coming. This is the same in the chemical industry what your told your getting and what your acailly getting may be two different things. You may never know because both products will give you the same end results.Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

I didn't say Zack didn't do it. I'm saying I have a harder time believing this one than other notorious tire cheaters. The more I read about the incident, the more I believe he was guilty. All four tires failed. As far as Owens, Bloomer, Madden, they have been caught numerous times, there's no disputing that.
There are multiple people and crews saying that Dohm's crew was bleaching his tires the day of the event. Ignorant on there part if true.Last edited by Pennsboro23; 10-26-2017, 09:37 AM.

It's no doubt that tires are being doped by weekly racers up to the touring professionals. It's also no doubt that the testing process is severely flawed as well. Our story....
Our modified and one other were chosen to be tested. Tire was marked and we were told we could use tire all night and we'd be notified to submit tire for sampling later on. Races get done, car is put away, beer drank, driver/some crew go home and it's 1:30 am and over the speaker....drivers bring tires to pit shack for sampling. While unloading car/removing tire over the speaker comes...let's go or you'll be dq'd for the weekend! Luckily we we had keys to the trailer. Both teams are there(told they forgot about the tires, thus the lateness), samples were taken from both tires with the same tool, samples then placed in evidence bags that were signed by us. We asked to get/keep a sample in a signed evidence bag like the others were for ourselves. Told sternly no, not done that way. Why not is the question.
Seems to me in this case a sealed samples should go to the team, lab, sanction, track and another party as a controlled/baseline sample. Sample should also be taken with a clean tool for each tire. This way there'd be enough samples in case of an issue, plus the clean tool would be one less chance of cross contamination.
Surely these huge sanctioning bodies can/could do a better job and get this issue cleaned up or if nothing else make it seem like it's being done correctly.

Here's a question, sort of related - sort of not, that I'm asking because I have no idea what the answer is.
Take this race for example...if you win $15k, my assumption would be that you would only get around 11-12k after taxes. So I'm also assuming you have to pay back the entire $15k to the series, so do you actually lose 3 or 4 thousand bucks due to taxes??? Along the same lines, does Marlar have to pay back his 2nd place winnings to get the actual winning $15k, or do they just pay him the difference, and same on down the line (3rd, 4th, etc...)??? It seems to me this would wreak havoc on taxes. Or as racers do they just pay taxes quarterly or so on winnings?
On the only race team I was on, this was NEVER an issue for us (winning anything over $10k) so I was just wondering how that worked.

To be fair, the Marlar crowd blamed the lapped car, but he was pushing before that. His lap times didn't drop off at all immediately after the tangle. His car honestly just wasn't very good.Originally posted by Pennsboro23 View PostTo be fair, Marlar tangled with a lap car and started pushing bad in the turns.Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

Usually, they hold the money until after the tire results. At least many of these series do that.Originally posted by Finnfan View PostHere's a question, sort of related - sort of not, that I'm asking because I have no idea what the answer is.
