Scott , I believe autry just proved the fact that certain drivers get tires from manufacturers that others don’t.

Remember the ITD interview where. American racer CEO said “we overnited a set of tires with the same compound but it was made with different materials than what the lab had”

The driver's set of samples are not supposed to be destroyed. They should be saved for an appeal. Another thing wrong this testing procedure

I am still opposed to doping but im starting to ride the fence on the testing...we the public or at least the defendents should be able to get every bit of info on how the testing procedure is done, and what exactly they do or do not find in the tire and also the amount or how concentrated the substance is found in the tire, that alone they should be able to tell if the tire was soaked or if there were just trace amonts found...

And lets be honest do we really know that doping improves your chances to win every time out? Could doping ever work against you? I think different track conditions different type dirt in diff parts of the country in different weather, tires will wear and react in diff ways...imo doping a tire with whatever method or theory you have can be a gamble and work against you in some cases..point is I dont think its a huge advantage every time out like some people think...

So they destroyed the tire sample which is supposed to be the evidence so if he appealed this got a lawyer all they have is a statement on paper says he was illegal but no tire samples left to prove it in the court of law by law i dont see how they could d.q. a driver take his winnings without samples to be tested again and d.q any driver without knowing exactly what product made them illegal if i was zack i be talking to a lawyer sounds like bad coruption by a bad series

I guess it depends on if you know what you are doing or what to buy. I have seen it lose races for sure.

I mean for being such a taboo subject I would think it would be kind of hard to compile data on it with all the testing that is done..it gives people a psycological edge no doubt...

Tire testing in my mind is no different than accepting the tracks scale weight after the feature. We could come up with all kinds of funny business regarding calibration/certification etc but when it comes down to it the rules enforcing officials are the rules enforcing officials.

We as fans can question the testing/tech procedures as can the racers, but in the end, the track/sanctioning body is the judge/jury/executioner.

This is the same lab that for sure made mistakes at Eldora. It’s a machine that runs the test. No machine is perfect and I guarantee that. You blow a .09 on a breathalyzer and when the blood work comes back it is a .03. Could have ran a chemical on the track or pits. Innocent until proven guilty and I’m not sold on this lap that constantly catches the “cheaters”. My 2 cents
