There was that and Josh started off the year with a bunch of rust, and started to come alive in June/July and finished the year hot, but it was too little too late.

If I remember correctly, 13-15 A lot driver where leaving rocket. Rocket was falling behind a little. Long horn was turning their program around, can't remember before or after long horn by moyer. Lot people was jumping to them disco chassis. Green started pick up a speed with his chassis. Then Kevin real got the long horns dialed in. Then Kevin had a little to do with new direction of rocket. After that Richards ran with it.Originally posted by TMaCiLLiNi39 View PostAnd I think you are forgetting JD destoyed everyone in 2015, and the new redesigned XR1 started late in 2015 after Kevin supposedly helped Mark

I can agree with just about all of that as you have refreshed my memory. Only part I have a problem with is the 2nd to last sentence. Not sold on the Rumley bit.Originally posted by Kwd1253 View PostIf I remember correctly, 13-15 A lot driver where leaving rocket. Rocket was falling behind a little. The Orange Rocket Years were a bad year Josh himself stuck with the Blue Rocket and was sidelined by his medical stuff. Every chassis brand hits on something every now and then that makes everyone go get one. The new Longhorn did change the game it was a car designed dynamically and from a fresh CAD design not redoing a previous year. It worked and yes Rumley did help at Rocket but that doesn't mean much the Orange was a Bloomer copy and that was IMO JUNK. Its all about how you can execute a plan. One year it was MBHs down here in the South, then Longhorns, now Back to Rockets. That's just how it goes. As far as Mark he is smart but Steve is the Brains and Mark is a heck of a businessman. Probably one of the best in the game at getting his product out there

Only reason I said little, is because Richards did say he in a interview that he paid or got some insights from Kevin. It could be simple suggestion what to change or do. Mark might just need a different view on things. I can't say how much Kevin helped out, but Mark did say openly in public he did help him.

Kevin didn't invent the wheel, but he is re-inventing the way the wheel works and the driver will do the rest!

He did not. But he certainly taught a physics lesson to the DLM world.Originally posted by jog49 View PostAfter reading some of the comments here, I was glad to learn that Kevin Rumley was the one who invented the wheel!
