Didn't make the trip last year, where's the preferred seating? From the outside looking in doesnt look to be a bad spot to sit???

Your good anywhere. I sat in the crew area thursday, back straight Friday, and near the finish line Saturday and it's good anywhere.

Not a bad seat in the house. We moved higher up this year, as their is no need to be that close.

Will it be cold inside the dome? My other half is unsure how to dress to be comfortable while watching.

Last year it was just about right in your seat over by the doors chilly also standing outside waiting to go in VERY cold
