At beginning of the year, he couldn't get out of his own way. Near the end of the year, he started turning some heads. I think he raced more than just about anyone that sat in a dirt late model all year. He's proof hard work pays off, hope to see him have some good runs next year.

He did get better. Many places, he hadn't seen before too. Kudos especially for showing up in the South late in the year! Selfish reasons! Hope Ranta's health is ok and they can run the whole tour.

Last I heard Arnie is doing ok. I talked to him at Knoxville and he said he was holding his own with the cancer, just the side effects were so tough. He said last spring the (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) cancer had moved into his bones, stage 4 now so he is on chemo therapy but the guy has a good attitude. He told me at that time his plans to run Larson for ROY/WoO in 2018 if Larson showed some improvement. That last month or so Brent showed an improvement so away they go. Arnie gives Larson the best equipment out there so let's see what he can do.Originally posted by champion24 View PostHe did get better. Many places, he hadn't seen before too. Good news, hopefully Arnie can stand those wicked side effects. My uncle died from that prostate cancer that claims so many of us men. Hope they can find a cure for it soon. Sorry to hear it has moved into his bones, not good news. Hope he and Larson can get that rookie deal won, the man deserves it for all he has done for DLM racing.Originally posted by hayfever View PostLast I heard Arnie is doing ok. Arnie is a good guy, always awesome to see him at a race track supporting racing and his drivers. But the B1 will get a reality check if he pulls half the stuff he has done in pervious years with his driving style,Woo guys wont put up with that.

He raced as much or more than anyone last season, and improved. Yeah, he'll get a reality check, but in turn I think the series will make him a better racer. Good luck to him.

I did a little checking, Larson will go over 100 races after the Dome races in 2017. I would say two things: he has put his heart and soul into DLM racing and Arnie is willing to spend and give him the best equipment. Commitment and backing can take a racer a long way. Should be interesting to see how it all shakes out. Don't know about any dirty racing done by Larson in open racing, maybe years back or something??Originally posted by Hoosier_Dirt View PostHe raced as much or more than anyone last season, and improved. The only thing I can remember is he ruffled Moyer Srs' feathers in a heat race. I've known Brent since he started racing, the farthest thing from a dirty driver
