I think they nearly have to. They really really need new eyes watching. Time to rebrand

I plead guilty to being hyper biased but if NASCAR is going to make a concerted move to dirt tracks they really need to race at one or all of the 3 remaining 1 mile dirt tracks that are still suitable to host auto racing. Springfield, Illinois is the fastest and raciest and the Indy Fairgrounds Mile and the Du Quoin, Illinois State Fairgrounds Mile both have lights. In fact Du Quoin has Musco lighting. I've watched the USAC/ARCA stock cars race on the Illinois/Indiana dirt miles nearly all my life and they are capable of producing some incredibly good racing.

A NASCAR race of any kind would sell out any one of the 3 dirt mile tracks in a matter of a few hours.

                Me too, BBQ.

The basic problem with the 3 dirt mile's is there is already an abundance of NASCAR racing too close to any one of the 3. Springfield is only about 3 hours away from Chicagoland and Indianapolis. Du Quoin is less than 3 hours from Kentucky Motor Speedway and the Indy Mile obviously is right in Indy.

I'd love to see a good 1/2 mile like Belleville, Kansas get a NASCAR race but that's totally out of the question due to simple basic logistics. Knoxville is kinda' in the same boat as the dirt miles due to being in the shadow of Iowa Speedway and it would take a lot of work to fashion a pit road in the infield.

I know this is all a long shot but it's kinda' fun to contemplate.
