But it did seem like he’d led two laps, not one. But I also don’t think anyone did anything dirty. Haven’t watched it all yet, but what I did, really not too bad.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

English did NOT lead the lap before the yellow. Bobby beat him to the line by fractions of a second. https://www.race-monitor.com/Results/Session/6242322 - our officials confirmed transponder placement on all cars and it was checked again at the scales.

If you have a Dirtondirt.com subscription you can watch the feature video and see Bobby clearly ahead at the line at the 5:30 mark. The next time off of 4 is when the yellow is called. I called for it while the leaders were still in turn 4 because BShepp didn't turn in and was clearly coming to a stop or going slow enough to be a danger to himself and oncoming cars. Brad hit the button on the computer for yellow and by that time English had crossed. At that point my eyes are on Sheppard and not the leaders.

I agree, all you gotta do is watch the dirtondirt video. Bobby was clearly ahead the lap before the caution was thrown.

This thread got a little off topic. I said it last year and will say it again they have to get some better dirt to make the track better and in turn run more laps. The amount of dust/dirt we ate this year was way worse than last year. I'm betting the clean up bill is double what it was last year if not more.

They can't. The dirt they have is what has been approved by the Dome management. It's the same dirt used by AMA For the Supercross race held there.Originally posted by powerslide View PostThis thread got a little off topic. I hope they renegotiate that part of the contract, as long as its that dirt its going to be what you saw this year.Originally posted by HoosierDirtFan View PostThey can't. Not that it was terrible, but it wasn't great either. In the heats/consi's on Friday my buddy and i made a rule you couldn't pick anyone on the front row.Originally posted by powerslide View PostI hope they renegotiate that part of the contract, as long as its that dirt its going to be what you saw this year.

What do I think about a 100 lap feature and a red flag stop?
Hate it. NO Late model race ever needs to be more than 50 laps and I quite fine with 30, including "crown jewels"
RARELY do you see any more passing, any more "racing" in the extra laps, just alot of folks riding around, waiting to spin themselves out and come in for fresh tires for the last half....
Same goes for sprints, no sprint race ever needs to be more than 40, and I am just fine with 25-30, including nationals.
NO RED FLAG FUEL STOPS.
In my humble opinion.Grumpy old dirt track fan. Anti-Sanction. Anti-Social. Anti-Media. Anti-SocialMedia. Anti-Climatic.
