I watched the partial video on DOD. from what I saw &I watched it several times at the time of the so called wreck. Weiss was in the middle of the track pierce was at the top Weis came up to the top his right rear quarter pannel hit pierces left front quarter panel and took his self out. I started and stopped the video several times so that's what I saw
    I am what I am

Watched dod free practice Friday and I thought they said Don Shaw doesnt even have a open Motor. He has a limited motor of some kind. Does anyone know if that is correct?

Over shadowed by the wreck and fussing, but did they ever say what happened to the engine? Was a repair made or did they swap? I assume if he swapped engines there isn't one of those rules about starting tail?

I believe it dropped a valve and they did swap out motors just in time.

Don't think they have rule for engine swap go to the rear. But talking about motors, look like Vick Hill motor two for two so far.

I don't know what the difference is but he doesn't seem to run well in his own car.

It would take more clean up time than you have for a valve problem. Change them out is best. Also if you have a valve or cam problem, it usually happens the first night out and usually a material problem. It happens to everyone sooner or later.

Not sure if it's 'the difference' or not, but the family car does not have a Durham engine.

Vic Hill motors actually ran pretty well last season.

I think he won more than half of the races he ran in his own car last year.
