Heck Yeah! Was the one race that Chris Madden won last year pretty good?

Honestly, it wasn't great. The track is too flat and bottom dominant IMO.

So it was a freight train race? Wonder if good track prep could make it racey, Or is it just outdated and needs reconfigured?.

On a positive note, looks like the Lucas boys will be able to show up. That should add some buzz

I wouldn't say it was a train race, since the track eventually widened out. It just takes 30-35 laps for that to happen.

Facilities were really nice. Track was really fast. Racing wasn’t all that great, granted they was hauling ass no one was catching madden that night. But it was definitely the dustiest race I’ve ever been to so something tells me they still working on the track prep part. But the bleachers were huge, facilities were clean and lot of concrete. Still never a bad time at a race track.

                  glad it's back

The new configuration is good. Years ago, the half mile was opened. They hosted a couple of late model shows, including Hav-a-tampa in 1998 or 99. This 3/8 will be better, but it's a big 3/8. In October, they were battling the weather. Couldn't get the track quite right. But the facilities haven't changed -- they're awesome.
I agree with Shiny, it was widening out but wicked fast and bottom only most of the night. Madden had em covered anyway.
This place has a great chance for success in bringing back late models. The other events they run are already successful. The Chi-Town Showdown has potential IMO.

                  Go 18!!
